A note from the editor

Old money, on a budget.

We write for the person planning a real wedding with a real spreadsheet. The friend who hosts eight people for dinner on a Tuesday because the tomatoes came in. The one who'll tell you the tablecloth cost $34 at HomeGoods and the candles are from Trader Joe's, three for $4.

The promise is small. Every story has a number. Every product has a price. If we can't tell you what something cost, we won't pretend it doesn't matter.
